Please tell us about your current line of work and how you got started in it.
Absolutely. I'm an experienced, Emmy award winning Producer, an accomplished voice actor and most recently, the creator of 'ExtraNots' the animated series. I began my career in the Vancouver film industry. After a couple years on set, I made the move to VFX production, developing my skills at Method Studios, ILM, MPC and Prime Focus on over 10 feature films including Transformers, Sin City, Expendables, Cloud Atlas and Pacific Rim. My love for animation led me to Bardel Entertainment where I spent 5 years overseeing production on 'Rick and Morty' during which time it won two primetime Emmy's. I moved to Montreal in 2020 and continued producing until the birth of my first child. When the animation industry in Montreal collapsed a couple years back, I took the opportunity to get back into voice acting while also developing my own series "ExtraNots" which can be seen on YouTube.
Do you have any mentors or sources of inspiration?
My greatest source of inspiration to continue voice acting and create my own show was an encounter with Tom Kenny a number of years back in L.A. He was, and still is the nicest celebrity I've had a chance to speak with, and he was very supportive in pushing me to pursue voice acting when I mentioned it. I actually keep a picture of us framed at my desk to help keep me going when things get slow.
What parts of your work do you enjoy most? Why?
Definitely the voice acting. The writing is a close 2nd, but when I actually get to fool around in the booth, that's by far the most fun I have. I'm doing more voice work in town as well and am hoping to do more AAA video game work in 2026. Fingers crossed!
What are your favorite things to do when you have free time?
Play with my daughter, run on my treadmill while catching up on shows, and currently playing Arc Raiders.
Are there any dream projects you'd like to pursue?
To voice a major character in an animated series. Sadly, since the animation industry in Montreal is kinda dead, that reality may not materialize. Besides that, landing a lead role on a AAA video game would be the next best thing.
